Longtime ESPN personality John Saunders is dead, as reported live this morning on SportsCenter by anchor Hannah Storm.
Saunders, who was 61, spent 30 years at ESPN and hosted The Sports Reporters for the past 15 years. The network released the following statement:
John Saunders, one of ESPN’s most visible and versatile commentators and a founding member of the board of directors for The V Foundation for Cancer Research, has passed away. He was 61.
